Location: Beckenham Crematorium & Cemetery, Elmers End Rd, Beckenham BR3 4TD
We recently had the privilege of live streaming a funeral service at Beckenham Crematorium & Cemetery, enabling family and friends—both locally and overseas—to take part in a meaningful farewell from wherever they were. Our role is always to work quietly in the background so the focus remains on the family, the celebrant, and the memories being shared.
A discreet, reliable setup
To minimise any disruption, we arrived early to coordinate with chapel staff and the funeral director, confirm readings and music cues, and test signal strength. Our compact, unobtrusive cameras and broadcast-grade microphones ensured clear audio for tributes and eulogies, with considered, respectful framing throughout.

Private, secure viewing
Attendees who couldn’t be there in person received a private link and password-protected page. The stream opened early so remote guests could join calmly, and we provided simple joining instructions for viewers on phones, tablets, and computers. For anyone who couldn’t watch live due to time zones or work commitments, a time-stamped recording was available shortly after the service.
Sensitive coverage of key moments
From the arrival of the cortege to the closing music, we captured the service with care—balancing wide shots of the chapel with close framing for readings, music, and personal tributes. Where requested, we included a slide of the order of service and a photograph, so online viewers could feel more connected to the ceremony.
On-demand replay & keepsake options
Following the service, we supplied a secure on-demand replay, optional downloads for family archives, and an edited highlight link for those who prefer a shorter recap. We can also provide a keepsake USB or a chaptered version to make it easy to revisit specific readings or musical pieces.
Working with the venue and funeral director
Our thanks to the team at Beckenham Crematorium & Cemetery for their support and professionalism. Every venue has its own protocols and layout; we always conduct a site check (or liaise with staff beforehand) to ensure respectful positioning, safe cable runs, and reliable connectivity.

A brief history of Beckenham Crematorium & Cemetery
Opened in 1876 as the Crystal Palace District Cemetery (often called Elmers End Cemetery), the site spans 44 acres beside today’s South Norwood Country Park. Originally laid out with two chapels, the consecrated chapel was destroyed during WWII bombing; the surviving chapel was later adapted to house cremation facilities, and the crematorium opened in 1956. The grounds include Commonwealth War Graves from both World Wars—around 130 WWI graves are recorded, with some commemorated on a screen wall—reflecting the area’s military connections at Crystal Palace and Grove Park. CWGC
Beckenham is also the resting place of several notable figures, including W. G. Grace (cricketer) and Thomas Crapper (sanitary engineer and manufacturer). Dignity Funerals
